Andrea Boyd, Artistic Director
Andrea is a director, teacher, playwright, and arts administrator. She has worked in theatres across Canada for 25 years, including directing at Theatre Lac Brome, The Grand Theatre, Found Productions, Covenant Theatre Co-op, and the University of Alberta. She was recently the Crake Drama Fellow at Mount Allison University, and is a past director at Festival Antigonish.
Andrea is thrilled to join us as Artistic Director to refresh and lead the creative vision for our stage.
Reema Fuller, Managing Director
Reema Fuller has over 15 years’ experience in fundraising and management spanning several non-profit sectors including education, healthcare, international development, and politics. Her diverse experience has provided her with a solid background in fund development, communications, stakeholder relations, strategic partnerships, and community outreach.
In this new position, Reema will lead the business and financial operations for Festival Antigonish, with a focus on enhancing our patrons’ experience at the theatre.
Heather Myers, Marketing & Office Coordinator
Heather joined the Bauer Theatre in 2016 as Marketing and Office Coordinator for Festival and Theatre Antigonish. Heather is a graduate of St. Francis Xavier University, with a Bachelor of Arts (English). She brings with her a wealth of community engagement and public relations experience through her 20 plus years of work in the Not-for-profit sector.
Through her role as Marketing & Office Coordinator, Heather is responsible for patron and community outreach for Festival Antigonish. She engages with the public through social media and public relations strategies to increase the awareness and share an understanding of the positive impacts of live theatre.
Ian Pygott, Technical Director
Ian has worked in professional theatre in the U.K., Africa, and Canada over the last 50 years and has been Technical Director with Festival Antigonish since its inception. He continues to bring innovative ideas and his wealth of knowledge on all things technical in his role as the primary designer and technical producer for Festival Antigonish. Back again for his 30th year, Ian is excited to be working with an almost entirely new Technical team this season along with some very well- known and much loved faces in the casts. He looks forward to a very creative, peaceful and care-free season. What a dreamer!
