PLAY READING: AFTERLIGHT, A VAMPIRE MUSICAL!

In the nightly search for her missing husband, Wanda, an ancient insomniac lady, encounters a 500 year old depressed vampire, whom she invites to come live inside her piano. A darkly comedic, whimsical new musical about the unlikely romance that develops between two souls desperate to find the light at the end of the tunnel.

A reading written and performed by visiting artists Sharon Bajer and Duncan Cox, with musical arrangements by Paul DeGurse

Set to premiere in Winnipeg in the fall of 2023 – generously supported by The Manitoba Arts Council, The Canada Council and The Playwright’s Guild of Canada

Each summer, we are pleased to present a carefully curated selection of brilliant Canadian plays for a staged reading by professional actors. The series includes a mix of new plays, award-winning plays, and plays that are being tested for possible future programming. Admission by donation. 19+ only.
