Andrea Boyd, Artistic Director
Andrea is a director, teacher, playwright, and arts administrator. She has worked in theatres across Canada for 25 years, including directing at Theatre Lac Brome, The Grand Theatre, Found Productions, Covenant Theatre Co-op, and the University of Alberta. She was recently the Crake Drama Fellow at Mount Allison University, and is a past director at Festival Antigonish.
Andrea is thrilled to join us as Artistic Director to refresh and lead the creative vision for our stage.
Reema Fuller, Managing Director
Reema Fuller has over 15 years’ experience in fundraising and management spanning several non-profit sectors including education, healthcare, international development, and politics. Her diverse experience has provided her with a solid background in fund development, communications, stakeholder relations, strategic partnerships, and community outreach.
In this new position, Reema will lead the business and financial operations for Festival Antigonish, with a focus on enhancing our patrons’ experience at the theatre.
Ingrid Risk, Production Manager
Ingrid has enjoyed a richly varied production career which has led her to take on a variety of roles such as stage manager, designer, technical director, production manager, prop builder, technician, and carpenter. Most recently, she worked with us in 2019 as Stage Manager for the Merritt-nominated production of A Brimful of Asha. Ingrid has helped shaped venue design, curated arts-theatre spaces, taught theatre stagecraft courses at StFX University, and mentored young professionals. Ingrid has worked with many leading Atlantic theatre companies, including Neptune Theatre, Festival Antigonish, Theatre Antigonish, Mulgrave Road Theatre, Ship’s Company Theatre, 2b Theatre, Eastern Front Theatre, Theatre New Brunswick, KAZAN CO-OP, DMV Theatre, Luna/Sea Theatre, Zuppa Theatre, HomeFirst Theatre and White Rooster Theatre. She has toured extensively, taking productions to venues nationally and internationally, from Labrador to the Yukon to NYC, including several stops at the National Arts Centre in Ottawa, and the Cultural Olympiad at the 2010 Vancouver Olympics. Over the last number of years, Ingrid’s focus has been on lighting design and stage management where she has received countless nominations for her work, and is the recipient of several Theatre Nova Scotia Merritt Awards. Her passion is for spare, interesting, and meaningful pieces of theatre that convey important ideas about the human experience.
Ashley Pettipas, Digital Programs Coordinator
Ashley has been involved with the theatre since 2014 when her first role was as the Company Photographer. Her responsibilities have grown over the years and in 2020 joined the Bauer Theatre staff as the Digital Programs Coordinator. A graduate of StFX with First Class honours in marketing, Ashley also holds an Honours Certificate from NSCC that helped hone her training in media production such as videography, photography, website design, and graphic design.
In her position, Ashley assists with the marketing of Festival Antigonish through visual mediums as well as providing administrative support for smooth operational running of the theatre as well as the assisting the rest of the Festival Antigonish team.
