A wrenched spectacle is dragged into town. It is a circus featuring a more than human cast and time-honored stunts. But the luster of tradition cannot conceal oppressive pasts and future longings. The show as we know it is transformed when the performers come to face their illusion of happiness and begin to uncover their capacity for joy. Featuring puppetry, poetry and song, Troubling Joy is a bicycle powered puppet circus that appeals to the senses of all ages. Being toured by bicycle across Nova Scotia in August and September, 2021.
